Governance: The Missing Layer

Governance rarely gets much attention because it is not the glamorous part of analytics. It does not look like innovation, and it does not make for exciting screenshots.

It is still one of the few things that consistently determines whether an analytics environment stays useful over time. Shared definitions, intake structure, ownership, and documentation are what keep a system from dissolving into contradiction.

Without governance, even a good analytics build eventually starts drifting. With it, the work holds together.
